EurAsia Cup joins 2014 schedule

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP)

The Asian and European tours will launch a new EurAsia Cup team matchplay golf tournament in Malaysia next March.

Stay on course with this season's pro golf schedules.

The Asian Tour unveiled details of the March 28-30 tournament on Monday, with the first edition to be staged at Glenmarie Golf Club.

The Asian team will comprise the top four Asian players from the Asian Tour, the leading three available Asian players based on world rankings and three captain's picks.

The European team will comprise four available players from the final Race to Dubai rankings, four European players based on world rankings and two captain's picks.

Asian Tour Chairman Kyi Hla Han says the biennial event is ''an exciting new milestone.''

Team captains are yet to be announced.
