Kenneth Ferrie shot a 60 to equal the European Tour record at the Andalucia Open on Saturday, climbing within one stroke of leader Paul Lawrie heading into the final round.

It's been an up and down season for Tiger. Where does he sit in GolfWeek's rankings?

Ferrie had eight birdies and an eagle on No. 12 to jump 43 spots. He was tied at 11-under 199 with fellow Englishman Mark Foster.

''It was unspectacular, but it added up to a spectacular score,'' Ferrie said. ''You'd expect somebody with such a low score to have holed putts and hit spectacular shots, but it was just a very steady round. Lots of fairways, lots of greens and a lot of wedge shots to four or five feet which I managed to knock in.''

Only 13 other golfers have shot a round of 60 on the European Tour.

Lawrie proved steady again and had five birdies in a 65. The former British Open champion has only one bogey in three rounds.

Foster also shot a 65 after making six birdies in an eight-hole stretch on the back side.
