News: Stricker is slated for his sixth start of the season beginning on Thursday at the Greenbriar Classic.
Impact: In only 11 events last year, Stricker played Greenbriar, tying for 35th. He tied for 22nd in his only other foray to West Virginia, in 2012. As for this season, since returning from back surgery, Stricker has made 4-of-5 cuts but with no top-25s.

News: Stricker failed to reach in the U.S. Open in sectional qualifying on Monday.
Impact: Playing at Brookside Gold and Country Club in Columbus, Ohio, where 120 golfers were vying for 15 spots, Stricker shot a first-round 1-under 71 and then withdrew with five holes to go in the second of two rounds, sitting at 2-over. That's when the horn sounded for a weather delay and, knowing he had no chance to qualify, he withdrew at that point. It will be the first time since 2005 that Stricker, 48, will not play in the national championship. He plans to return to the Tour at the Greenbriar the first week in July.

News: Stricker tied for 27th at the Crowne Plaza Invitational on Sunday with a 5-under 275 total.
Impact: This was Stricker's fourth tournament of 2015 after returning from back surgery at the Masters, and his third made cut. He still doesn't have a top-25, but he's already at 173rd in the point standings and seems a good bet to qualify for the FedEx Cup playoffs, should he choose to participate. But Stricker will be sitting out this week's stop, the Byron Nelson.
