News: Stricker has withdrawn his name from this week's Genesis Open due to an undisclosed reason, Rob Bolton of PGATour.com reports.
Impact: Stricker would've been playing for the third time in three weeks, so the veteran may just be electing to return home and rest. He hasn't missed a cut since March's Shell Houston Open.

News: Stricker shot an even-par 71 in the final round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open to finish in a tie for 42nd place.
Impact: Stricker made just two birdies and two bogeys on Sunday for his 71. This was Stricker's first start of any kind since the Deutsche Bank Championship in September. He was a bit rusty as you would expect as he only made 11 birdies, but made just five bogeys which was the eighth fewest in the field. Stricker struck the ball well as he hit over 73 percent of the greens, but didn't putts like we are accustomed to seeing as he ranked just 63rd in putts per green. He will play at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am this week as he looks to get back into the rhythm of a season.
