News: Westwood capped off the U.S. Open with a final-round even-par 70, finishing the tournament T50 at nine-over-par.
Impact: This marks Westwood's worst performance in a tournament in which he's made the cut this season. He's made the cut in eight out of the ten tournaments he's played in this year, finishing in the Top-25 in all but two outings: the Masters (T46) and, now, the U.S. Open. The 42-year-old Englishmen had the chance to finish the second round with a 66, but recorded a triple-bogey seven on the 18th hole, pushing his score to 69. In his third round, Westwood failed to make a single birdie, finishing with a 77.
