World 2018 43 Top football/soccer transfer rumors: Oct. 7-13 31926999 New tune in the air New+tune+in+the+air World

It’s Manchester United all the way this week, with a touch of City and Real Madrid to bring a bit of variety to the tittle-tattle. United are under the microscope for obvious reasons after a patchy start under new manager David Moyes, who had a teenager to thank from preventing a fourth Premier League defeat.

Moyes has said he needs new recruits but has played down expectations there could be new additions in January. We’ll wait and see on that score. Who do we have to help us bring glamor to the goss? Well, this man has been pressing the "Play" button since 1992 and released new album "Innocents" last week. Is he electro? Is he punk? He’s a man for every occasion. He is of course Moby:

World 2018 43 Top football/soccer transfer rumors: Oct. 7-13 31926997 Sergio Aguero, Manchester City Sergio+Aguero%2C+Manchester+City World

Rumor: Manchester City to Real Madrid.

Likelihood: A non-starter.

Real Madrid is ready to make a January bid for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, but how does the Argentine feel about a possible move? Many think that a move to Spain would make sense for the striker, who is starting to look more like his deadly self in front of goal. However, he told the Guardian on Saturday. "I'm very happy at City, very happy since the day I came. I knew that the project was good and in my head there is nothing else but Manchester City, so how long I'm going to be at City is just never a question.” Face it Real, you’ll have to look elsewhere.

World 2018 43 Top football/soccer transfer rumors: Oct. 7-13 31928922 Adnan Januzaj, Manchester United Adnan+Januzaj%2C+Manchester+United World

Rumor: United to Juventus, City or Barcelona.

Likelihood: Tough calls for the Red Devils.

Januzaj exploded onto the Premier League scene on last Saturday with a brilliant double which rescued United when they really needed it. A goal down after just five minutes, the Belgian-born forward, just 18, stepped up with two brilliant finishes in six second-half minutes to secure the points. The story is that United are preparing to offer Januzaj, out of contract at the end of the season, a four-year deal worth £50,000 a week in a bid to fend off interest from several clubs. What United fear the most is another Paul Pogba fiasco. The Frenchman left United for free at the end of his tenure with United and is now one of Juventus’ best players. United cannot afford to make the same mistake twice.

World 2018 43 Top football/soccer transfer rumors: Oct. 7-13 31928923 Luis Suarez, Liverpool Luis+Suarez%2C+Liverpool World

Rumor: Liverpool to Real Madrid.

Likelihood: Will it never end?

Edinson Cavani came out last week to reveal that Suarez is holding out for a move to Real Madrid and added that his Uruguayan colleague had not fancied a move to Arsenal during the transfer window. Suarez may have had a season in hell in the 2012-13 campaign, but he seems to be enjoying himself now that his 10-match ban has come to an end. At some point we think Liverpool will eventually give in and let him go but it won’t be this season.

World 2018 43 Top football/soccer transfer rumors: Oct. 7-13 31926998 David Silva, Manchester City David+Silva%2C+Manchester+City World

Rumor: Manchester City to Real Madrid.

Likelihood: Same deal.

Everything is wrong about this story. Apparently, Real Madrid are looking for a player to replace Mesut Ozil and view David Silva as the ideal candidate. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has been saying all sorts of things about Ozil since his move to Arsenal: that he couldn’t handle the pressure, that he enjoyed the party life and women too much. Woah, Flo! Go easy on the guy. Do Real Madrid really need another player similar to Ozil? In our view, Ozil had to leave to pay for the Bale deal. End of story.

World 2018 43 Top football/soccer transfer rumors: Oct. 7-13 31928924 Arsene Wenger, Arsenal Arsene+Wenger%2C+Arsenal World

Rumor: Arsenal to Paris Saint-Germain.

Likelihood: Non, non, non!

Arsenal are finally starting to look like they could actually win a trophy (certainly before Sunday’s 1-1 at West Brom) and that may have alerted PSG into making Wenger their number one target to lead them into the next stage of their bid for global domination. The bad days may be finally over in that part of north London (Ok, let’s wait until May) but would Wenger really want to give up 17 years of dedicated service in the pursuit of a new project? Wenger has said himself that no-one can doubt his loyalty and we expect him to sign a new contract soon.

World 2018 43 Top football/soccer transfer rumors: Oct. 7-13 31928926 Leighton Baines, Everton Leighton+Baines%2C+Everton World

Rumor: Everton to Manchester United.

Likelihood: Toffees will just dig in deep.

David Moyes seemingly will not give up on signing Baines, who United wanted during the summer transfer window. In the end, United only managed to prise Marouane Fellaini to leave Baines stewing over his future. However, according to one London newspaper, the Toffees will be offered a sweetener in the form of Antonio Valencia plus £15 million ($24 million) in January. Baines would certainly supply the electricity United needs down the left flank and the England defender is one of the best free kick takers in the business, but Everton are no pushovers in the transfer market these days so United can expect another tough fight.

World 2018 43 Top football/soccer transfer rumors: Oct. 7-13 31927000 Shinji Kagawa, Manchester United Shinji+Kagawa%2C+Manchester+United World

Rumor: Manchester United to Borussia Dortmund.

Likelihood: Don't think so but you never know.

We at FOX Soccer have been waiting for some time for Kagawa to start producing fireworks at Old Trafford, but sadly we just don’t think it’s going to happen. A young man named Adnan Januzaj may just have seen to that. Last week, Kagawa was linked with a return to Borussia Dortmund in exchange for defender Neven Subotic, a player United could definitely do with. Jurgen Klopp admits it breaks his heart to see Kagawa playing a bit-role at Old Trafford which convinces us that a deal is possible in the New Year -- although Subotic is a different matter.

World 2018 43 Top football/soccer transfer rumors: Oct. 7-13 31928927 Nemanja Vidic, Manchester United Nemanja+Vidic%2C+Manchester+United World

Rumor: Manchester United to Juventus.

Likelihood: Don't think so.

He’s the best defender David Moyes has ever worked with -- which means he’s better than Phil Jagielka and Sylvain Distin -- but a couple of Italian clubs are reported to be interested in the 31-year-old Serbian. Juve have joined AC Milan in monitoring the centerback but we can’t see him slipping away from Old Trafford just yet -- unless United receive an offer they can’t refuse, but that seems unlikely.

World 2018 43 Top football/soccer transfer rumors: Oct. 7-13 31928925 Ander Herrera, Athletic Bilbao Ander+Herrera%2C+Athletic+Bilbao World

Rumor: Athletic Bilbao to Manchester United.

Likelihood: Long way off, and probably a dead duck.

Herrera was a deadline-day target for United, but the deal failed to come off because United thought the player was over-valued. Moyes admits he likes the 24-year-old midfielder but United were not happy with the buy-out clause of £36 million ($58 million) and decided to do the right thing and pull out of the running. It’s not clear whether United are still interested in the player but the Basque club's president Josu Urrutia has made it clear that he is staying at Athletic and considers the matter “closed.”

World 2018 43 Top football/soccer transfer rumors: Oct. 7-13 31928928 Kevin De Bruyne, Chelsea Kevin+De+Bruyne%2C+Chelsea World

Rumor: Chelsea to the Bundesliga.

Likelihood: Depends on time.

De Bruyne looks to be out of favor at Stamford Bridge judging by Jose Mourinho’s public criticism of the player before Chelsea’s Champions League victory at Steaua Bucuresti. However, the midfielder, who has been linked with Werder Bremen and Borussia Dortmund, will not be going anywhere in the January transfer window, according to his agent. The Blues won’t be rushing into making a decision about De Bruyne’s future just yet which will give the 22-year-old Belgian a bit more time to impress Mourinho, just like Juan Mata was given a chance.
