Former Juventus star Alessandro Del Piero says he has no plans to leave Sydney FC during the A-League season.

The 39-year-old Del Piero said Friday ''I'm happy here ... I don't have other thoughts about other teams at the moment'' when asked to comment on reports that he could leave the side during the January transfer window.

He added ''for me the future is here until the end of the season, and this for me is only rumors.''

Talk of dissatisfaction began after Sydney's 2-0 win over Newcastle last month when he substituted himself before halftime, earning a yellow card.

Del Piero has scored three goals in seven appearances and has missed two matches due to hamstring and calf soreness.
