Fiorentina was held to an entertaining 0-0 draw at Torino in Serie A on Sunday.

The visitors were missing their two star strikers after Giuseppe Rossi joined Mario Gomez on the long-term injury list.

Borja Valero had the best of the chances and should have scored in the 21st minute when he beat his defender but fired just past the right post. He also volleyed wide from close range on the stroke of halftime.

Alessio Cerci, who spent two seasons at Fiorentina, went close for Torino when he ran almost half the length of the pitch only to see his effort fingertipped away by visiting goalkeeper Neto.

Fiorentina remained fourth, provisionally 12 points behind leader Juventus which plays at Cagliari later. Torino is provisionally seventh.
