Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta has denied reports that his club have reopened talks with Inter Milan with a view to signing Fredy Guarin.

RUNNING OUT OF TIME

The winter transfer window is now closed. That doesn't mean we can't look forward to this summer. Find out who's going where at the Rumor Mill.

The Turin giants were close to acquiring the Colombia midfielder last week, only for Inter to pull out of negotiations.

Despite Juve's initial disappointment, reports in Italy have claimed Guarin's proposed move to Juve is back on.

However, Marotta told Gazzetta dello Sport: "We have already spoken at length about this issue and this is a closed chapter. There have been no meetings whatsoever."

Inter president Erick Thohir called off the proposed swap deal, which would have seen Juve forward Mirko Vucinic join the Nerazzurri and Guarin go the other way, as it did not offer his club "any financial or technical benefit".
