Huddersfield's on-loan striker James Vaughan has been named April's player of the month in the Championship.
Vaughan, on a season-long loan from Norwich, hit five goals in April to help Huddersfield retain their Championship status, including a hat-trick in a 3-1 win at Bristol City.
The 24-year-old in total scored 14 goals in 37 appearances for Huddersfield this season, firing five of them in the final three matches from which the Terriers took seven points to ensure another season in the second tier.
Vaughan established an impressive strike partnership with Jermaine Beckford and, although he has returned to his parent club, Huddersfield boss Mark Robins is keen to open talks with Norwich about the possibility of signing the forward on a permanent basis.
The 25-year-old, who moved north from Celtic last summer, has enjoyed an impressive first season in the Granite City - netting 22 goals to earn an SPFA player of the year nomination.
"I didn't come here just to play out the time on my contract, I am here to help bring back some silverware to the club," he said.
"I would also like to thank the supporters who have welcomed me to the city and given not only me but the team fantastic backing this season."
Manager Derek McInnes added: "As far as I am concerned Niall is going to be the big summer signing for Aberdeen.
"Hopefully this sends out the correct signal to not only our supporters but also to any other players who are potentially thinking about signing for this great club."
