Aberdeen extended their unbeaten run under new manager Derek McInnes to four matches, with a goalless draw at St Mirren.
The Dons have failed to win away from home in 2013, although they came close to three points at St Mirren Park, with a disallowed goal from Jonny Hayes and Marc McAusland making a superb clearance off the line to deny Scott Vernon.
The Saints were saved from relegation just days earlier by their opponents after Aberdeen's draw with Dundee sent the Dens Park side back to the First Division and secured St Mirren's survival.
The first real attempt on goal came from Vernon on the 17th minute with a curling shot that he fired just beyond Craig Samson's left post, following an impressive run from Ryan Jack.
The Saints retaliated soon after with a terrific shot from Dougie Imrie, but the visitors were denied the lead as Jamie Langfield tipped the ball to safety.
Joe Shaughnessy had the best attempt of the first half when Niall McGinn's corner found him eight yards out, but Samson saved the centre-back's header.
McInnes' side seemed certain to score after the break but failed to convert their chances.
A ball delivered deep into the box by Hayes followed by a commanding header from Vernon was cleared off the line by Marc McAusland.
The Dons continued to press, and in the 64th minute, Jack struck a Vernon header towards the goal from close range but the shot narrowly edged wide of Samson's goal.
Hayes thought he had put Aberdeen ahead soon after but the goal was ruled out for offside, as the game ended all square in Paisley.
