West Ham have completed the loan signing of AC Milan's Antonio Nocerino.

The midfielder joins on a deal until the summer, and Sky sources understand his compatriot Marco Borriello is likely to follow.

Nocerino has been capped 15 times by Italy and played at Euro 2012, but he has made just 11 appearances in this season's Serie A.

West Ham can now turn their attentions to Roma striker Borriello, who is due in London for talks.

The 31-year-old has been a bit-part player for his club this term, starting only six games, and spent last season on loan at Genoa.

Sam Allardyce has also made a failed bid for Leeds captain Ross McCormack as he aims to add a greater scoring threat to a squad which has managed just 22 goals in 22 Premier League games.
