Premier League 433 2740 FOX Soccer Power Rankings: Dec. 13-19 31983703 Bayern Munich Bayern+Munich Premier League

League Record: 13-2-0.

Last week: Ranked first.

Bayern maintained their title charge in week 15 of the Bundesliga with an astonishing 7-0 away win at Werder Bremen. By no means are Bremen the side they used to be, but a tough place to go all the same. Pep Guardiola surely was not happy with his sides' defending in the Champions League match on Tuesday -- they were edged out by an improved Man City side. Some of the defending was nothing short of schoolboy at times.

Premier League 433 2740 FOX Soccer Power Rankings: Dec. 13-19 31983700 Real Madrid Real+Madrid Premier League

League standings: 12-1-2.

Last week: Fourth.

Real took a severely weakened 11 to play Olimpic de Xativa in the Copa del Rey and came back with egg on their faces. Madrid brought Karim Benzema, Luka Modric and Marcelo off the bench -- it still wasn't enough, coming away with a 0-0 draw. Hardly the best start to the week, but they followed this with an impressive away Champions League win in Copenhagen. Cristiano Ronaldo was yet again the star, becoming the first player to score nine goals in the group stage.

Premier League 433 2740 FOX Soccer Power Rankings: Dec. 13-19 31983697 Barcelona Barcelona Premier League

League standings: 13-1-1.

Last week: Third place.

It looked worrying for Barcelona this week after going behind to Cartagena in the 16th minute of Copa del Rey action. Barca responded in the only way they know how -- by scoring a hatful of goals to demolish the opposition and all without their talisman Lionel Messi. Brazilian striker Neymar showed us that he is at the top of his game with a wonderful four-goal show against Celtic in the Champions League. He is in for a big summer if he keeps this form for the World Cup on home soil.

Premier League 433 2740 FOX Soccer Power Rankings: Dec. 13-19 31983699 Arsenal Arsenal Premier League

League standings: 11-2-2.

Last week: Second place.

Arsenal have had a week to forget in all competitions. It started with a gripping game against Everton with both sides fighting tooth and nail for the win. The Gunners couldn't pull a result out of the bag and had to settle for a draw -- not good enough for a team who are challenging at the top of the league. Arsene Wenger decided consistency was key for their midweek tie at Napoli, playing a full side knowing the Italian side had to win by three goals to progress. Napoli pushed them all the way and now Mikel Arteta will miss the first leg of the knockout stages through suspension. Their resolve will be tested once again vs. Manchester City at the Etihad on Saturday.

Premier League 433 2740 FOX Soccer Power Rankings: Dec. 13-19 31983698 Atletico Madrid Atletico+Madrid Premier League

League standings: 13-1-1.

Last week: Sixth place.

It has been a great week for Atletico and enough to move them into the top five of our Power Rankings. Although Los Colchoneros were already through their group in the Champions League, they still put in a great performance against a Porto side who needed the win to secure passage to the next round. Raul Garcia impressed and was rewarded with a thunderbolt score from an almost impossible angle. In their other fixture, Atletico comfortably downed lower league side Sant Andreu in a Copa del Rey clash.

Premier League 433 2740 FOX Soccer Power Rankings: Dec. 13-19 31983701 Manchester City Manchester+City Premier League

League Standings: 9-2-4.

Last week: Tenth place.

One of the talking points of the week unraveled at the Allianz Arena. Manchester City defeated Bayern Munich, who have been unbeatable at home in recent seasons. Manuel Pellegrini and his coaching staff failed to realize their side only needed a single goal to top the group and set about making defensive changes. Instead, City could now lineup against Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid or Barcelona in the last 16. Having said that, the win in Germany will have given City confidence they can win against Europe's elite starting with Arsenal this weekend.

Premier League 433 2740 FOX Soccer Power Rankings: Dec. 13-19 31983705 Paris Saint-Germain Paris+Saint-Germain Premier League

League standings: 12-4-1.

Last week: Seventh place.

Paris Saint-Germain had already qualified for the Champions League knockout round before the tie with Benfica last week. The maverick Zlatan Ibrahimovic didn't play, so it was left to Jeremy Menez and Edinson Cavani to combine for the opening goal. PSG eventually lost, however it was encouraging to see other players clicking without Ibra in the side. If PSG are to have any hope of winning the European competition, the whole team will need to be firing on all cylinders.

Premier League 433 2740 FOX Soccer Power Rankings: Dec. 13-19 31983702 Chelsea Chelsea Premier League

League Standings: 9-3-3.

Last week: Eighth place.

As usual, Chelsea are looking to challenge on all fronts this season, and with Jose Mourinho at the helm they shouldn't be too far off. One problem the Blues don't seem capable of curing is the miserable scoring record of their top strikers. Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba have all shown glimpses of quality, but not enough goals. Chelsea beat Steaua Bucharest narrowly in their last Champions League group stage match -- with greater finishing prowess they would have hammered the Romanians. Worringly for Blues fans, they conceded three times against Stoke -- unfamilar from a normal Mourinho team.

Premier League 433 2740 FOX Soccer Power Rankings: Dec. 13-19 31983707 Borussia Dortmund Borussia+Dortmund Premier League

League standings: 10-1-4.

Last week: Ninth place.

It has been a week of hit and miss for Dortmund. Currently third in the Bundesliga, Dortmund will have been distraught after losing to Leverkusen last weekend. It puts them six point behind Bayer and an incredible ten adrift of leaders Bayern Munich. It wasn't all doom and gloom for die Schwarzgelben. Staring down the barrel of a potential exit from the Champions League, they rallied back to defeat Marseille. A somewhat fortuitous goal from Kevin Großkreutz secured qualification and also a place at the top of the table. No mean feat.

Premier League 433 2740 FOX Soccer Power Rankings: Dec. 13-19 31983706 Juventus Juventus Premier League

League standings: 13-1-1.

Last week: Fifth place.

Juventus will have to settle for a Europa League place after they were knocked out in the snow of Istanbul. A snow storm hit the game against Galatasaray which was abandoned after 31 minutes of play on Tuesday night. The final 59 minutes were played out the following day when the weather had cleared up -- not to Juventus' benefit. Former Real Madrid midfielder Wesley Sneijder was on hand to deal the Old Lady a final blow with his 85th-minute winner for Gala. Juve did down Bologna in Serie A last weekend but it will be small comfort in a bad week for Antonio Conte's men.
