Luduena leads Pachuca to victory

MEXICO CITY (AP)

Daniel Luduena scored from inside his own half for the winning goal as Pachuca beat Tigres 2-1, and Queretaro won 3-0 against Pumas in Mexico's Apertura tournament.

Luduena struck a shot from near the halfway line that looped over goalkeeper Enrique Palos and into the net in the 48th minute.

A header from Miguel Herrera put Pachuca into the lead in the 18th, before Jesus Duenas leveled for Tigres with a long-range strike in the 37th.

Wilberto Cosme opened the scoring for Queretaro in the eighth minute with a shot from outside the area, and he added a second in the 61st.

Esteban Paredes grabbed the third in the 82nd, 20 minutes after Pumas' Ariel Nahuelpan was sent off.

Chivas drew 1-1 against Chiapas, while America's game against Tijuana was postponed due to the club having five players at CONCACAF's Gold Cup.

In other games this weekend: Leon defeated Atlas 2-1, Monterrey drew 1-1 with Puebla, Veracruz overcame Atlante 4-2, Toluca won 4-3 against Morelia and Santos Laguna defeated Cruz Azul 3-2.

Chivas rescued a point in the third minute of second-half injury time when Angel Zaldivar scored from a tight angle. Chiapas took the lead in the 18th through Carlos Ochoa.

Carlos Pena fired into the top corner three minutes after halftime to give Leon the three points. Flavio Santos put Atlas into the lead after five minutes, with Mauro Boselli equalizing for Leon with a header in the 36th.

Dorlan Pabon scored with almost the last touch of the game to equalize for Monterrey against Puebla. Matias Alustiza capitalized on a defensive error to put Puebla ahead in the 78th.

Mexico international Angel Reyna scored three times for Veracruz against Atlante, which led in the third minute through Angel Sepulveda. Reyna netted twice before halftime to put Veracruz into the lead before Alberto Garcia equalized one minute after the break.

Garcia was sent off in the 50th, and Veracruz took advantage through Christian Marrugo and Reyna's third goal.

Morelia led three times through Jefferson Montero's hat trick, but Edy Brambila netted the decisive goal for Toluca in the 90th minute.

Pablo Velazquez, Richard Ortiz and Carlos Esquivel all leveled for Toluca. Mexico international Joel Huiqui was sent off for Morelia in the 78th.

Two goals from Oribe Peralta and another from Oswaldo Alanis put Santos Laguna 3-0 up at halftime, but Cruz Azul fought back in the second half with Christian Gimenez scoring a penalty in the 71st and Joao Rojas adding the second in the 79th.
