Andrada seals River Plate's first win
AROUND THE WORLD ...
Substitute Federico Andrada netted the game's only goal as River Plate picked up their first victory of the new Argentinian Apertura season against Rosario Central on Friday night.
Andrada was introduced in place of Osmar Ferreyra midway through the second half and needed little more than 10 minutes to make his impact with a 79th-minute winner.
River lost midfielder Jonathan Fabbro to a red card two minutes later, but the visitors were unable to capitalise on their extra man in the closing stages.
San Lorenzo also posted their first win of the campaign on Friday with an impressive 3-0 success at Racing Club to move top of the fledgling standings alongside Atletico Rafaela, Estudiantes and Velez Sarsfield on four points after two games.
Martin Cauteruccio set the visitors on their way with the opening goal after 20 minutes before second-half strikes from Mauro Cetto and substitute Hector Villalba put the result beyond doubt.
Finally, Olimpo and Tigre battled out a 0-0 draw.
