Forward Fabian Orellana scored two goals as Celta Vigo beat bottom-place Real Betis 4-2 in the Spanish league on Friday, ruining the debut of coach Gabriel Calderon.

Betis hired Calderon on Monday, its third manager of the season, after Juan Carlos Garrido was fired.

But the visitors continued to show the same holes in defense as Celta picked them apart following Ruben Castro's opener for Betis in the 17th minute.

Orellana headed in Rafina's lobbed pass to level five minutes later and struck again in the 39th from a pass by Charles after the striker had made it 2-1.

Charles set up another goal, this time for Manuel ''Nolito'' Agudo, in the 73rd, before Castro scored his second goal in the 78th.

Betis' Cedric Mabwati was shown a straight red card in stoppage time for a studs-first tackle on Rafina.

Celta is undefeated in its last four league games at Balaidos Stadium after going winless in its first seven.

''The points we've got at home we have earned after falling behind early,'' said Celta defender Hugo Mallo, who crossed for Charles' goal. ''But our team believes in itself and we have been able to turn things around.''

Betis was left winless in the last 14 rounds and eight points from safety before the rest of the league plays.
