Bruma's agent reportedly has received in Portugal as revealing an offer from Chelsea for the Sporting Lisbon winger, who was at the center of an alleged kidnapping attempt on Wednesday night.

The 18-year-old has been linked with a move away from Sporting this summer after enhancing his reputation with a string of sparkling performances for Portugal at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup. However, events have now taken an ugly turn turn, with his agent telling the Portuguese press that Sporting supporters known as "Juve Leo" tried to kidnap the player.

Bruma's agent, Catio Balde, is quoted as telling Antena 1: “Last night there was an attempted kidnap of Bruma by Juve Leo at the hotel where he lives. We have registered a complaint with police and we have been informed it was done at the behest of Sporting’s management. We have pressed charges. This is a very serious and unpleasant matter, and it led to this decision."

Bruma reportedly is keen to terminate his Sporting contract and the matter will now be handed to FIFA to adjudicate, with that process potentially taking a couple of months. The player's camp could look to begin negotiations with other clubs, and there is thought to be a lot of interest in the teenager.

Manchester United and Porto have been linked with Bruma, and Chelsea and Galatasaray already have submitted offers, according to Balde. While Chelsea's proposal is reportedly worth just €2million, Balde says the Turkish club have tabled a considerably more sizable bid.

He said: "I was in charge or presenting offers to Sporting. There are offers from foreign clubs, from Chelsea and from Galatasaray, worth €8million that could reach €12million."

On Bruma terminating his contract, Balde added: "From this moment on, considering that he is a highly-coveted player, it is possible that more offers will arrive, because I know that several clubs were waiting for the best moment to make a move. Right now, Bruma's mind is not on Sporting."
