Burnley winger George Porter has joined AFC Wimbledon on a season-long loan after failing to break into the Clarets team.

The 21-year-old, who last summer signed a three-year contract with Burnley from Leyton Orient, joins the League Two side for the entire 2013/14 season.

Porter, who has made the first-team squad at Turf Moor just once, spent six months with Colchester last term, making 19 appearances in League One.

Craig Fagan is one of four forwards currently bidding to earn a contract at Glanford Park.

Veteran Deon Burton, Sam Winnall and Craig Beattie are all currently trying to impress the Iron boss.

Laws told the club's official website: "These kind of games are a great opportunity to look at the players.

"It does not cost me to bring them in to have a look at them."
