Hannover forward Szabolcs Huszti is determined to help his side back into Europe next season after injury robbed him of the chance to aid their challenge last term.
Hannover finished fourth in 2011 but had to settle for ninth last term as they missed out on a top-six berth by six points.
Huszti enjoyed an impressive start to the campaign, scoring nine goals and creating another 11 in 21 games following his move from Zenit St Petersburg, but he was then sidelined for the second half of the season due to a muscular injury.
The Hungary international is now hoping to do better next term - both on an individual level and as a team.
"I personally want to score more goals and set up more. And I want a top-six finish - that has got to be our goal," said the 30-year-old, whose eagerness to resume playing again has seen him report to back to pre-season training five days early.
"I say that you can always improve, and that goes for me and Hannover.
"I've been training back home in Hungary for the past three weeks and I feel top fit and perfectly healthy.
"Running's fine, but I can't wait to be able to touch a ball again," he told the Bild newspaper.
