Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes praised his side for the way they bounced back from losing to BATE Borisov with a 2-0 win over Hoffenheim.
The win was Bayern's seventh in a row in the Bundesliga, equalling a record they share with Mainz and Kaiserslautern for consecutive victories from the opening match-day, and it took them five points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.
"You have got to consider that we had a difficult Champions League game during the week," he said.
"If I look at the 90 minutes today, I have to say that not only were we intelligent and clever, but we also did not have any problems in defence and we dominated the game.
"Today, I cannot recall even one chance for Hoffenheim."
Hoffenheim coach Markus Babbel said he sensed it was not going to be his day from the moment he arrived at the Allianz Arena.
"I am a former Red so it is not on that I have to go into the changing room of the Blues (Bayern's city rivals 1860 Munich)," he said to Sky television.
"But I cannot blame the lads. I have to take my hat off to them, but it was just not enough."
