UM great Vinny Testaverde inducted into college HOF

The 1986 Heisman Trophy winner became the seventh Miami player to be enshrined into it, joining Bennie Blades (2006), Don Bosseler (1990), Ted Hendricks (1987), Russell Maryland (2011), Gino Torretta (2009) and Arnold Tucker (2008). Andy Gustafson (1985), Jack Harding (1980) and Jimmy Johnson (2012) are enshrined as coaches.
Testaverde, one of 14 inductees in the 2013 class, was Miami's first Heisman winner. He went 175 for 276 with 2,557 yards, 26 touchdowns and nine interceptions and the nation's best passing efficiency rating (165.80).
The Elmont, N.Y., native went 23-3 as a starter for Miami, finishing 413 for 674 with 6,058 yards, 48 touchdowns and 25 interceptions over three seasons. He led the Hurricanes to three bowls during his career and is just one of four to have his jersey retired by the program.
