MLB shifts Rays-Orioles series from Baltimore to Tampa Bay

The series between the Baltimore Orioles and Tampa Bay Rays from Friday through Sunday will be moved from Camden Yards to Tropicana Field.

The Orioles will play as the home team. The games Friday and Saturday will be held at 7:05 p.m. Meanwhile, the game Sunday will start at 1:35 p.m.

All tickets will be sold as general admission tickets in the lower level of Tropicana Field. They’ll go on sale at noon Wednesday through raysbaseball.com and Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets to the games Friday and Sunday will sell for $15, and the Saturday game will sell for $18.

The announcement Tuesday comes after riots, fires and looting spread Monday throughout Baltimore, following the funeral of Freddie Gray, who died April 19 from a severe spinal cord injury while in police custody. He was 25.

The Orioles postponed their games against the Chicago White Sox on Monday and Tuesday at Camden Yards. On Tuesday afternoon, the team announced that Baltimore and Chicago will play at 2:05 p.m. ET Wednesday at Camden Yards in a game that will be closed to the public.
