TAMPA, Fla. — Reportedly, safety Major Wright will return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

A report from Yahoo Sports’ Rand Getlin on Sunday has Wright re-signing with the Bucs on a two-year deal worth up to $4.5 million with the first year fully guaranteed.

Wright, 26, had 51 tackles and one pass defensed in 12 games with seven starts as part of Tampa Bay last season, his first with the Bucs after spending the first four campaigns of his career with the Chicago Bears.

Wright was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent when the new league year opens at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
