Lightning re-sign defenseman Mark Barberio

The Lightning re-signed defenseman Mark Barberio to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced.

TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Bay Lightning re-signed defenseman Mark Barberio to a one-year, two-way contract, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced Tuesday.
 
Barberio, 23, played two games with Tampa Bay last season, recording one shot on goal. He debuted in the NHL on April 9 against the Ottawa Senators at Tampa Bay Times Forum.
 
The Lightning drafted Barberio in the sixth round, 152nd overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
