TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Bay Lightning announced their seven-game preseason schedule Friday.
Tampa Bay begins the session Sept. 18 against the St. Louis Blues at Amway Center in Orlando, Fla., marking the second time the Lightning will have played a preseason game at the building. The Blues and Lightning also met at Amway Center on Sept. 21, 2011, and St. Louis won 4-3.
Germain Arena in Estero, Fla., also will host a Lightning preseason game. Tampa Bay and the Florida Panthers will play Sept. 26 at that location, where the Lightning are 0-3-1, the most recent result a 3-3 tie against the Carolina Hurricanes on Sept. 24, 2002. Part of Tampa Bay’s training camp before last season was held at Germain Arena.
The Lightning are 15-6-3 in the preseason dating to 2008.
