ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. --€“ Die-hard fans? Try fans from birth.

Twelve newborns could become Tampa Bay Rays fans for life.

Rays reliever Heath Bell and utility player Sean Rodriguez presented vouchers Tuesday to 12 infants born at Bayfront Baby Place on Opening Day, granting the kids four tickets to all future Rays home openers. The event was part of the "Rays Fan for Life" program announced before Tampa Bay'€™s 9-2 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday at Tropicana Field to begin the season.

In addition, balloons and baby baskets were presented to the mothers. A special day, a special prize -- one that will keep giving and giving from the national pastime.
