Purifoy, a Pensacola native, had the best game of his career, highlighted by returning his first career interception for a touchdown that gave Florida a lead that it never relinquished. He also recorded four tackles, including the first sack of his career, three pass breakups and a forced fumble against the Razorbacks. Purifoy was also key in assisting the Gator defense in notching two sacks against an Arkansas offense that was allowing just 0.6 sacks per game. He also returned two punts for 17 yards.
