FOX Sports Florida to televise introduction of new Panthers coach Gerard Gallant

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (June 21, 2014) — FOX Sports Florida, the television home of the Florida Panthers, will televise the team’s press conference introducing new Head Coach Gerard Gallant live at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 23.

On Saturday afternoon, the Panthers announced they had tabbed Gallant, who spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach with the Montreal Canadiens, to lead the team. The hiring of Gallant represents a return of sorts to the Panthers organization as he served as an assistant for the Louisville Panthers (AHL) during the 1999-2000 season, at the time the club’s minor-league affiliate. The 50-year-old becomes the 13th head coach in Panthers history and the fourth under Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon.
