MIAMI (AP) —Dwyane Wade of the
Miami Heat says he woke up with swelling and stiffness in his left knee on Wednesday, one day after getting hit in Game 6 of the NBA Finals against San Antonio.
Wade missed the start of the second half of Game 6 while getting treatment, then returned. He has no doubt that he will play in Game 7 on Thursday, when the Heat and Spurs will decide this season's NBA champion.
Wade has been bothered by right knee soreness for about three months. In Game 6, a collision hurt his surgically repaired left knee, the one that kept him out of last summer's London Olympics.
Wade says that with just one game left, "you muster it up, you give it. So I'll be fine."
