The University of Miami will receive some pass-rush help from a Wisconsin transfer.
Defensive end David Gilbert will transfer to Miami and is eligible to play in 2013, the Sun Sentinel reported. He graduated in May and will have one year of eligibility left.
The 6-foot-4, 245-pound Gilbert had 42 tackles and four sacks last season for Wisconsin and was an honorable mention all-Big Ten pick.
A native of Coral Springs, Fla., Gilbert has battled foot injuries in his career but could offer an extra pass rusher with experience in a rotation that would include Shayon Green and Anthony Chickillo.
