Bosh was named to represent the Eastern Conference in the Shooting Stars competition on All-Star Saturday Night on Feb. 16. The event, which will feature an East six-person team battling a similarly composed West team, features players earning points by shooting from different spots on the court.
Bosh, an eight-time All-Star, will be joined on the East squad by Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez, WNBA players Swin Cash and Tamika Catchings and former NBA players Dominque Wilkins and Muggsy Bogues.
The West team will feature Houston Rockets guard James Harden, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook, WNBA players Maya Moore and Tina Thompson and former NBA players Sam Cassell and Robert Horry.
Soon, Bosh will find out if he will start the All-Star Game in place of injured Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo. Making the choice will be Heat and East coach Erik Spoelstra, and Bosh has told FOX Sports Florida he expects to be named to start.
