Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Da’Quan Bowers was present during an odd incident involving ex-Destiny’s Child singer Farrah Franklin over the weekend.

According to TMZ.com, Franklin was arrested for disorderly conduct early Sunday morning in South Carolina after partying with Bowers and Houston Texans linebacker Ricky Sapp on Saturday in Myrtle Beach. The report says alcohol was allegedly involved, and Sapp and Bowers called police after Franklin ”went nuts, screaming and slamming doors” at Sapp’s place after the group returned from their night out. Franklin allegedly fled, and she was later found in a neighbor’s lawn.

Bowers, a native of Bamberg, S.C., is entering his fourth year with the Bucs. A second-round pick in 2011, he has largely disappointed in totaling 45 tackles with 5 1/2 sacks throughout his career.

Though Bowers was just a bystander to Franklin’s strange behavior, his proximity to the events doesn’t cast him in a favorable light with Tampa Bay’s training camp set to begin Friday.
