Here are the latest fantasy football injuries owners should be aware of as they plan for Week 3 and scan the waiver wire for potential replacements:

Running Back

  • Reggie Bush (knee injury)
    • Took a helmet to his knee
    • MRI shows no structural damage
    • Bush says he shouldn't be out long
  • Steven Jackson (quad/thigh injury)
  • Ray Rice (hip flexor)
    • Non-contact injury
    • Injured it in fourth quarter of Browns game
    • Bernard Pierce has been breathing down his neck for playing time since late last season
  • Eddie Lacy (concussion)
    • Brandon Meriweather helmet-to-helmet hit on Lacy's first carry of the game
    • James Starks became the first Packers' running back to rush for over 100 yards in the past 45 games
    • No update until Wednesday
  • Maurice Jones-Drew (ankle)
    • Experiencing "looseness"
    • Same foot his had surgery on last season
    • They don't think it's related
    • MRI Monday (update pending)
    • Jordan Todman received the most touches in the backfield for Jacksonville
      • He's not worth adding

Wide Receiver

  • Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring)
    • Had to leave the game vs. Lions
    • Told reporters he would "definitely" play in Week 3
    • Michael Floyd and Andre Roberts are active in the passing game
  • Andre Johnson (concussion)
    • Took shot to the head in the fourth quarter vs. Titans
    • Reports suggest he should be okay for Week 3
    • DeAndre Hopkins broke out for a monster game 117 yards / GW-touchdown
  • Roddy White (high ankle sprain)
    • He's active on Sundays, but he's not active
    • Week-to-week, but I suggest benching him until they figure it out
  • Dez Bryant (foot sprain / back)
    • Guess he's fine
  • Danny Amendola (torn muscles in hips/legs)
    • Jay Glazer reported on Sunday that doctors are giving Amendola conflicting reports that he may have a sports hernia
    • Sports hernia surgery would put him on the shelf for 4-6 weeks
  • Malcom Floyd (neck - out indefinitely)
    • Taken off the field on stretch and transported to local hospital
    • He was cleared and flew back with the Chargers
    • My guess he's out Week 3 and Eddie Royal / Antonio Gates are solid options to start against the Titans
    • He'll be in a neck brace this week

Tight End

  • Vernon Davis (hamstring strain)
    • Pulled up lame in the fourth quarter of the 49ers game vs. Seahawks and did not return
  • Martellus Bennett (shoulder)
    • Injured shoulder crashing into camera in the end zone
    • Returned to action and should play Week 3
  • Brandon Myers (ribs)
    • MRI schedule for Monday (update pending)
