2013 Fantasy Football: Top 3 TEs

Rob Gronkowski's on the mend (again), but still cracks our top three fantasy tight ends in 2013.

My 2013 fantasy football top three tight ends are:

1) Jimmy Graham

  • Averaged 10.1 fantasy points per game in 2012
  • Finished with 85 rec. / 135 targets (both led Saints) / 982 yards / 9 TDs
  • He regressed slightly from 2011, but Sean Payton returns me more looks for Grahahm in 2012
  • If Gronk were healthy, Graham would be ranked No. 2

2) Rob Gronkowski

  • Averaged 13 fantasy points per game in 2012 (11 games played)
  • Finished with 55 rec. / 79 targets / 790 yards / 11 TDs (lead all tight ends in 11 games played)
  • With forearm and back surgeries listed on his "What I Did During the Offseason" report, there remains a huge gray area as to Gronk's fantasy value in 2012 as of late-June

3) Vernon Davis

  • Averaged 5.3 fantasy points per game in 2012
  • Finished with 548 yards with five touchdowns
  • Averaged over 100 receiving yards with a TD in final two games of the playoffs
  • Has not missed a game since 2007
  • Needs to pick up slack in passing game with Michael Crabtree out
