In our first time making this a 50/50 contest, 137.86 was enough DraftKings points to win.
The top three finishers went with the catchphrase king, Kirk Cousins. They liked that. Cousins conjured 25.36 points against Green Bay. Other entries liked that, too. Cousins was used in 45 percent of the lineups in our contest.
The top three entries also had the TE and D in common. Jordan Reed scored 30 DK points and was selected in 67.5 percent of the entries involved. Reed was also recommended on this page. Kansas City’s defense rattled off 29 points. They were used in 37.5 percent of the lineups.
QB – Carson Palmer, ARI ($6,500)
Surprisingly, Palmer is only the 6th-most expensive quarterback in the player pool. Peyton Manning and Alex Smith are the cheaper options. That’s it (other than backups). While Palmer only posted 17.5 DK points against the Packers in Week 16, remember that Cousins led all quarterbacks last week with 25.36 DK points versus Green Bay. Also, the GB/ARI game has the highest projected over/under in the Divisional Round (50 total points). Load up on players from this game.
RB – David Johnson, ARI ($6,000)
Again, load up on players in the Green Bay/Arizona game. In Week 16, Johnson rushed for only 39 yards, but tallied 88 receiving yards against the Packers. Johnson ended the day with 21.7 DK points. He has notched at least 17 DK points in four of the past five games.
WR – Demaryius Thomas, DEN ($7,000)
The Broncos’ No. 1 target has recorded at least 18 DK points in four of the past five games. In Week 15, against these same Steelers, Thomas tallied 23.1 DK points. In the last four games, Thomas has averaged 11.75 targets per contest.
