My 2013 fantasy football breakout star coming out of the NFC West is Rams’ wide receiver, Chris Givens. Other nominees considered were Rams’ receiver Tavon Austin and Cardinals’ receiver Michael Floyd.
Givens is thee fantasy football player with the highest ceiling in my opinion. With an average draft position of after the 13th round currently, he’s a straight-up steal in fantasy drafts. Tavon Austin is receiving a ton of ink, but Givens needs some of that love from the media.
He caught over 50 percent of his passes for nearly 700 yards and three touchdowns last season. Givens also averaged 16.8 yards per reception for the Rams.
This preseason, he’s caught two balls via Sam Bradford for 55-plus yards. He’s the deep threat and would not be shocked if his status was elevated to WR2 by midseason.
