Fantasy Football 2186 43 Week 15 fantasy football starts and sits advice 31473442 Sit 'em - Mikel Leshoure vs ARI Sit+%27em+-+Mikel+Leshoure+vs+ARI Fantasy Football

"But Ryan, Marshawn Lynch and Robert Turbin combined for 236 yards on 21 carries with three touchdowns against Arizona last week." Yours, Leshoure fantasy owner.

While this is an irrefutable fact, my concern about starting Leshoure in Week 15 is two-fold: a) the running back's yard-per-rush dipping below three yards per carry over the last three weeks and b) the emergence of Joique Bell who received 12 carries against the Packers.  He's averaged eight carries per game over the Lions' last three games.  Plus, with the Lions limited at wide receiver, Bell's pass-catching ability should be utilized by Matthew Stafford the last three weeks.  This analysis is a round-about way of stressing owners think twice before plugging Leshoure into their starting lineup.  The matchup against the Cardinals screams "no brainer," but Leshoure in a low-end RB3/4 in my book this week. - Ryan Fowler

Fantasy Football 2186 43 Week 15 fantasy football starts and sits advice 31473447 Sit 'em - Joe Flacco vs DEN Sit+%27em+-+Joe+Flacco+vs+DEN Fantasy Football

Coming off a game where he threw three touchdown passes, Joe Flacco owners may be eager to plug him back into the starting lineup.  Let's not do this in Week 15 against Denver.  To give you a sense of the fantasy stats Flacco has been posting over the last month, the quarterback has been outscored by Sam Bradford and Nick Foles with Brandon Weeden nipping at his heels over the last four weeks.  It will also be interesting to see how Ray Rice is used within the offense now that Cam Cameron has been fired.  The Broncos are allowing 17 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks this season. - Ryan Fowler

Fantasy Football 2186 43 Week 15 fantasy football starts and sits advice 31476120 Sit 'em - Jeremy Maclin vs CIN (Thurs.) Sit+%27em+-+Jeremy+Maclin+vs+CIN+%28Thurs.%29 Fantasy Football

Maclin (groin) is probable for Thursday night's game against the Bengals.  Despite a monster game against Tampa Bay (nine receptions, 104 yards with a touchdown), Maclin owners should note the budding relationship between Nick Foles and Jason Avant who moved up the depth chart when DeSean Jackson was placed on injured reserve.  Avant received 12 targets, caught seven passes for 133 yards against the Buccaneers.  When you also factor in the Bengals' pass defense that allows the sixth-fewest fantasy points  to opposing wide receivers (18/game), I'd look elsewhere for my WR2.  Plus, these Thursday night games are really funky with fantasy projections tossed out the window.  For instance, to guess Peyton Manning would have five-plus pass attempts inside the Raiders' 10-yard line and finish with less than 20 fantasy points, while Knowshon Moreno would carry the ball 30-plus times would be make Miss Cleo proud. - Ryan Fowler

Fantasy Football 2186 43 Week 15 fantasy football starts and sits advice 31475628 Sit 'em - Vick Ballard vs HOU Sit+%27em+-+Vick+Ballard+vs+HOU Fantasy Football

With Donald Brown placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Ballard becomes the featured back in Indianapolis.  That's the good news.  The bad news is that he lost a number of goal line carries to Delone Carter (ankle) in Week 14 against the Titans.  Ballard finished with 19 carries (second-most in a game this season) for 94 yards with a 10-yard reception, but only has two touchdowns on the season (one rush/receiving).  Houston allows the second-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs this year and with Andrew Luck airing it out on a regular basis, expect Ballard to have a limited impact against the Texans in Week 15. - Ryan Fowler

It just so happens that on the day Jennifer Lawrence was named the "World's Most Desirable Woman" according to an international poll released by AskMen, the actress was also named the "Fantasy Girl o' the Week" on  I'm not sure which is more prestigious an honor, though my vote is for the latter.  Lawrence has impressed us with her bow and arrow skills and, more recently, knowledge of the Philadelphia Eagles in the movie "Silver Linings Playbook."  She's a starter and available on the waiver wire.

Fantasy Football 2186 43 Week 15 fantasy football starts and sits advice 31474688 Start 'em - Darren McFadden vs KC Start+%27em+-+Darren+McFadden+vs+KC Fantasy Football

To be completely transparent for a moment, owners should know that as I write this McFadden fantasy blurb, I'm surrounded by antacids, the pink stuff and am breathing heavily into a brown paper bag.  Reports that McFadden tweaked his ankle last Thursday were put to rest when DMC practiced on Monday.  Just keep tabs on his health throughout the week.  The last time the Raiders played the Chiefs, McFadden carried the ball a season-high 29 times and finished with 114 yards (3.9 YPR).  Kansas City is 27th in rush defense and 24th in fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs this season (19.1).  Although he's far from a RB1, DMC is a nice mid-to-low RB2 in Week 15. Fantasy Football 2186 43 Week 15 fantasy football starts and sits advice 31474678 Start 'em - Russell Wilson vs BUF (in Toronto) Start+%27em+-+Russell+Wilson+vs+BUF+%28in+Toronto%29 Fantasy Football

Do not let Wilson's final stat line against the Arizona Cardinals (7-13 for 148 yards with a TD and INT) distract you from the fantasy friendly stats the rookie quarterback has posted the last month and a half.  In a blowout win, where Marshawn Lynch (and later Robert Turbin) were heavily featured, Wilson was not needed in the same capacity as in prior weeks.  He travels to take on the Bills, 21 pass touchdowns allowed with 10 interceptions, on a neutral field inside Toronto's Rogers Centre.  Buffalo is 24th in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks at 20.9 fantasy points allowed.  Where Wilson receives a slight value boost is with his feet on the fast, indoor Rogers Centre track if called on to scramble.  I project 20-25 fantasy points against the Bills.  Is that enough in Week 15? Fantasy Football 2186 43 Week 15 fantasy football starts and sits advice 31474683 Start 'em - Danario Alexander vs CAR Start+%27em+-+Danario+Alexander+vs+CAR Fantasy Football

Why is Danario Alexander still available in 59 percent of leagues on (as of press time)?!?!  Do not ignore these stats any longer: 30 receptions, 47 targets, 494 yards with five touchdowns over his last five games.  Philip Rivers and him are clicking to the dismay of Malcom Floyd and Antonio Gates owners.  Over the last four weeks, Alexander is fourth in fantasy points scored (60) among wide receivers behind Dez Bryant, Calvin Johson and Andre Johnson.  He's flirting with a WR1 ranking. Fantasy Football 2186 43 Week 15 fantasy football starts and sits advice 31473431 Start 'em - C.J. Spiller vs SEA Start+%27em+-+C.J.+Spiller+vs+SEA Fantasy Football

Yes, I know what Seattle's defense did in Week 14.  I also know how valuable Spiller can be when Fred Jackson isn't tweaking his touches.  F-Jax sprained his knee in Week 14 and is probably done for the season.  Jackson's absence opens the door for Spiller (944 rush yards and 354 receiving yards with six touchdowns) for a third time this season.  In games where Spiller has received 10 or more carries, he's averaged 103-plus yards per game on the ground (seven games).  Find a way to get him in your starting lineup. Fantasy Football 2186 43 Week 15 fantasy football starts and sits advice 31474663 Start 'em - Martellus Bennett vs ATL Start+%27em+-+Martellus+Bennett+vs+ATL Fantasy Football

With Rob Gronkowski still out with a broken arm, I've been forced to the waiver wire for assistance the last three weeks.  The deep talent pool at the tight end position has afforded owners the luxury of streaming starts based on matchup.  For the past two games, New York's Martellus Bennett has caught the eye of Eli Manning.  He's posted 10 receptions for 114 yards with a touchdown in each game.  Bennett faces Atlanta, 22nd in fantasy points allowed to TE per game (8.0), in Week 15 and is only owned in 55 percent of leagues.  So, if you are scrambling to add/start a tight end, Bennett is a strong play. If you've been paying attention, you know all about Josh Gordon's stealth-like rise up the wide receiver rankings.  Over his last four games, the Browns' 2012 supplemental draft pick-turned-top-wide-receiver has 23 receptions on 34 targets for 315 yards (13.7 YPC) with a touchdown.  Cleveland plays a Washington pass defense that is 30th in fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers (26.5 fantasy points allowed per game).  As of press time, Gordon was available to add in 60 percent of public leagues on (Plan B: Jon Baldwin vs. OAK)  - Ryan Fowler
