Fantasy Football 2186 43 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Gallery: Week 2 30161687 Sit 'em - Chris Cooley vs. Cardinals Sit+%27em+-+Chris+Cooley+vs.+Cardinals Fantasy Football

According to fantasy football data, owners start Cooley at tight end in 41.9 percent (11th among TE) of all leagues. The "sit 'em" advice is a subtle suggestion to those owners counting on him to contribute on a weekly basis. Against a depleted Giants secondary, Cooley, who is dealing with a bad knee, was targeted three times and finished with two receptions for 21 yards. I'm not saying the Fred Davis era in Washington has begun, I'm just saying Cooley's fantasy value isn't worth a start. — Ryan Fowler

The priority on starting Manningham against the Rams depends on the health of Hakeem Nicks (knee). If Nicks plays, I think Manningham is a solid flex play. If Nicks is ruled out for Monday night, Manningham moves up to a No. 2 WR on my board. Eli Manning has a track record of looking his way (nine touchdowns in 2010) and with the Rams licking their Week 1 wounds on defense, it presents an opportunity for a solid fantasy night. — Ryan Fowler

Chad Ochocinco's regular season debut with the Patriots ended with a tremendous thud.  On a night where Tom Brady passed for 500-plus yards, Ocho was good for one 14-yard catch. For those owners who start New England wide receivers, I would use extreme caution if expecting similar results against the Chargers. Brady passed for 159 yards against San Diego a year ago and the 2011 defense held Donovan McNabb to 39 yards passing (not a typo) in Week 1. Bill Belichick is about to get creative and not in the form of 517 yards through the air. Wes Welker is okay in PPR leagues. — Ryan Fowler

Philip Rivers finished with 50 pass attempts against the Patriots in their 2010 meeting. Floyd, the Chargers' No. 2 wide receiver, did not play in that game due to injury. Depending on what depth chart you are looking at, Brian Hartline (47 rec. yards, 1 TD) and Davone Bess (92 rec. yards) lined up as Miami's second receivers and fared well against the Patriots Monday night. Floyd could be in for a big afternoon. — Ryan Fowler

Fantasy Football 2186 43 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Gallery: Week 2 30159919 Sit 'em - Chris Johnson vs. Baltimore Sit+%27em+-+Chris+Johnson+vs.+Baltimore Fantasy Football

Was Chris Johnson's 24-yard performance against Jacksonville a first-game fluke due to lack of practice or a sign of things to come? I would feel better starting CJ in Week 2 had he not been matched up against Baltimore. The Ravens' defense caused Rashard Mendenhall owners to pull out their hair last weekend. Mendenhall, considered a top tier running back like Johnson, was held to 45 yards on the ground. CJ faces Denver (who yielded 150 rush yards to DMC Week 1) in Week 3. You should wait one more week, but probably won't. — Ryan Fowler

Do I believe in Sexy Rexy to lead me to a fantasy football championship? No. Do I like his matchup against Arizona at home in Week 2. Yes. The reasons why are quite simple, it may be true the Cardinals struggled against Cam Newton because it was tough to scout against a rookie quarterback whereas plenty of Grossman tape exists. However, I'm encouraged by the fact that Grossman averaged nine passing yards per attempt (8th-best among QBs) and finished with over 300 passing yards off the jump. Washington's depth at receiver is also a positive where Santana Moss, Jabar Gaffney, Anthony Armstrong and Fred Davis proved to be suitable targets. — Ryan Fowler

Cam Newton was the fantasy feel-good story of Week 1 with his 422 passing yards and two touchdowns. The bad news is the Green Bay Packers now have regular season game tape on him. The defending Super Bowl champs will no doubt adjust and, I don't know, pay special attention to Steve Smith (178 yards and two touchdowns). Keep in mind, Arizona had no true tape on Newton and was adjusting to life without Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. The Pack, who allowed Drew Brees to chuck the ball around, will be ready for the rook. — Ryan Fowler

Dustin Keller was targeted eight times by Mark Sanchez Sunday night against the Cowboys, tying him for the fourth most among tight ends. As an added plus, the Jets' quarterback seems to trust him when New York enters the red zone. It's hard to ignore his five catches for 61 yards and a touchdown, but according to's fantasy football game data only 23.5 percent of owners started Keller Week 1. That'll change. — Ryan Fowler

If Ryan Mathews' 12 carries for 45 yards against the Vikings made your stomach churn, take a look at his 2010 stat line versus the Patriots. He finished with eight carries for 15 yards. Can somebody pass the Pepto? Plus, now that we know Chad Henne can pass for 416 yards against New England's secondary, look for Philip Rivers to air it out. — Ryan Fowler

At the beginning of August, fantasy owners were torn between the value of Jahvid Best and Mikel Leshoure. With the rookie out for the season (Achilles) and following the Lions' Week 1 game against Tampa Bay, I'm comfortable with labeling Best a solid No. 2 RB option this week against the Chiefs. Although he didn't find the end zone, Best finished with 114 total yards against the Bucs. Kansas City was the team projected to run the rock down the Bills' throat, but the Chiefs allowed Fred Jackson to rack up 112 yards on the ground. Best is a dual-threat and a must start this week. — Ryan Fowler

I had some fantasy hits (Jimmy Graham) and misses (Josh Freeman) in Week 1. If you gambled and started Cam Newton against the Cardinals, I tip my hat to you. As for Rex Grossman owners, I liked him against the Giants' injury plagued secondary. As for my thoughts this week against Arizona, please click the arrow. — Ryan Fowler
