News and Analysis
Archer is working on returning punts, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "Everyone tells me I am too small, I can't take hits, I can't do this and I can't do that," said Archer. "I am just out here to play football. And I know what I can do."

Impact: Archer did not return punts in 2013 at Kent State because of an ankle injury, and only had six punt returns for eight yards in his entire college career. He did, however, return 51 kicks for 1,436 yards (28.2 average) and four touchdowns. With a time of 4.26 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, the Steelers are hopeful Archer can be a difference-maker on special teams, as well as a change-of-pace from the battering ram style of running backs Le'Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount.
