News and Analysis
Hoyer completed 24-of-40 passes for 204 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Saints.

Impact: While it wasn't a great fantasy performance, Hoyer did enough to lead the Browns to a surprising 26-24 victory. First-round pick Johnny Manziel finally made his NFL debut, but he didn't do anything to make Hoyer nervous for his starting job. Hoyer connected with eight different receivers, while throwing 22 of his passes to wide receivers Andrew Hawkins (six catches for 70 yards) and Miles Austin (six catches for 44 yards and a touchdown), a higher total than in Week 1 that was likely the result of missing tight end Jordan Cameron, who was out with a shoulder injury. Hoyer's job appears safe for now and he'll try to continue his solid play in Week 3 against the Ravens.
