Tyler Eifert Cin - TE
News: Eifert will soon have a minor procedure on his ankle, with a three-month recovery anticipated, the Cincinnati Inquirer reports. (May 24)
Impact: Although the surgery isn't considered overly serious, Eifert will presumably miss all or most of training camp, with his Week 1 status now in serious question. He suffered the injury at the Pro Bowl on Jan. 31, but the Bengals initially believed it would heal with rest. Tyler Kroft is the leading candidate to take Eifert's first-team snaps during camp, with Ryan Hewitt and C.J. Uzomah possibly also in the mix. Coming off a 2015 receiving line of 52-615-13 in 13 games, Eifert may still be able to improve on last season's total of 72 targets, as the Bengals lost both Mohamed Sanu and Marvin Jones during the offseason. If Eifert isn't ready by Week 1, the Cincinnati receiving corps will look quite thin behind A.J. Green, which could be good news for Brandon LaFell and/or rookie Tyler Boyd. Sammy Watkins Buf - WR
News: Though Watkins suffered a "broken small bone in his foot" and had a screw inserted to address the issue, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the wideout should be ready for training camp. (May 16)
Impact: While Monday's report does not detail when the injury occurred, the initial timetable presented here is encouraging with regard to Watkins' chances of being fully recovered in advance of the coming season. Still, given the often tricky nature of foot issues, the wideout's status is now worth monitoring closely as the the Bills' spring/summer activities approach. (Source: RotoWire / Time: 4:51p ET)

Delanie Walker Ten - TE
News: Walker signed a two-year, $14.7 million contract extension with the Titans on Friday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. (May 6)
Impact: Walker led the Titans and all NFL tight ends in receptions last season, turning 94 catches into 1,088 receiving yards and six touchdowns, a performance that earned him a trip to the 2015 Pro Bowl. Tennessee appears to be embracing a ground-and-pound philosophy, adding Derrick Henry to a backfield that already included DeMarco Murray, but Walker will likely remain the team's top aerial threat in 2016-17. Tom Brady NE - QB
News: Brady's four-game suspension -- which stemmed from the quarterback's alleged role in "Deflategate" -- was reinstated Monday by an appeals court ruling, reports. (Apr 25)
Impact: With Monday's ruling, Brady is now in line to miss contests against the Cardinals, Dolphins, Texans and Bills out of the gate. He would thus be eligible to make his regular season debut against the Browns in Week 5. It remains to be seen precisely what recourse the QB has with regard to the decision, but the stage is currently set for Jimmy Garoppolo to serve as the Patriots' starting signal-caller for the first quarter of the 2016 campaign.
