Mondesi is slashing .294/.342/.471 over his last 10 games with High-A Wilmington.
Despite his hot play at the plate of late, he has a mediocre .225/.271/.317 slash line through 70 games. He is one of the most difficult prospects to value in dynasty leagues, as there's not much in his stats to suggest future value, but just the fact that he's 18 and playing at High-A shows how mature he is for his age. Prospect evaluators love him because he plays plus defense at shortstop and there are no questions about his ability to stick at the position. Many in the industry also believe the bat will continue to develop, but there's no doubt that betting on his offensive potential is a risky proposition, given how far away he is from the big leagues.
