Swihart has been named Boston's top prospect, according to Baseball America.
Not a real shocker. Swihart has made the transition to catcher since joining the organization in 2011. He's developed into a good defensive backstop, earning the organization's defensive player of the year in 2013 and throwing out 47.5 percent of would-be base-stealers in the Double-A Eastern League in 2014. All while maintaining his ability to hit from both sides of the plate. Boston added him to the 40-man roster during the offseason and if all goes according to plan, they'll be adding him to the major league roster as the starting catcher in 2016.
