Rondon (elbow) remains on track to be ready for the start of spring training, MLive.com reports.
The team's confidence in Rondon is one reason the Tigers have been unwilling to pay a premium for additional bullpen arms to this point in the offseason. Rondon is expected to report to Lakeland in January to being early preparations for spring training after missing all of 2014 while recovering from Tommy John surgery. In his last healthy season in 2013, Rondon had a 70:24 K:BB over 58.1 innings split between Detroit and Triple-A Toledo.
