Wheeler struck out seven and walked three while giving up three runs -- two earned -- on four hits over seven innings in a loss to the Braves on Wednesday.
It was a very nice showing for Wheeler, who met the criteria for a quality start, but took the loss because Julio Teheran simply outperformed him. Wednesday's start was the 11th straight outing that Wheeler held the opposition to three or fewer runs. He'll look to continue that streak in a two-start week with road starts against the Marlins on Monday and the Reds on September 7.
