Chapman (arm) allowed one hit but struck out the side against the Pirates on Sunday to earn his 36th save of the season.
The lefty hurler capped off his dominant 2014 campaign with a three-strikeout effort in the season finale, after striking out two and retiring the side in order on just seven pitches Saturday. Chapman experienced some arm soreness during an appearance against the Brewers last Thursday, but he showed no ill effects over the weekend and it's likely a non-issue heading into the offseason. Despite missing the first five weeks after suffering a gruesome head injury in spring training, Chapman still finished seventh in the NL with 36 saves, and he set new major league records in strikeouts per nine innings (17.67), strikeout-to-hits ratio (5.05-to-1) and strikeout percentage (52.4 percent).
