Lindblom is one of the A's top options for a spot starter, which the team will need for next Wednesday's doubleheader, MLB.com's Jane Lee reports.
In one start this season with Oakland on April 2 against the Indians, Lindblom gave up two earned runs on five hits and two walks with two strikeouts in 4.2 innings. In 23.2 innings this season with Triple-A Sacramento he has been even less effective than he was with the big-league club, posting a 7.23 ERA with 18 strikeouts. If he is called upon to make the start, don't look for him to go deep into the game, as the A's are pretty desperate right now, and Lindblom won't represent an ideal option. Arnold Leon is the other leading candidate for the spot start.
