Guerra got saddled with a blown save and a loss Wednesday, allowing two runs on two hits while recording just two outs against the Red Sox.
Guerra was called upon with two outs in the eighth to clean up Jake Petricka's mess. He got Mike Carp to ground out with runners on second and third to end the threat and preserve a 4-3 lead, but was then unable to close it out in the ninth. With one out, Guerra hit Mookie Betts on a 1-2 count, then served up a game-tying RBI double to Daniel Nava. Brock Holt then followed with the game-winning hit to complete the comeback. The closer situation for the White Sox continues to be up in the air, and it's a reasonable bet that Zach Putnam will receive the next save opportunity.
