Teheran improved to 10-6 with a quality start against the Padres on Saturday, though it was far from his best effort this season. He struck out three and gave up nine hits and three runs in six innings. He did not issue a walk.
The 23-year-old Colombian native has only allowed nine or more hits four times in 22 starts this season. However, Teheran found a way to get the job done, and now leads Braves starters in wins, ERA (2.71), strikeouts (132), WHIP (1.04) and opposing batting average (.227).
