Darvish (elbow) has been cleared to begin throwing on his normal schedule, MLB.com reports.
A bout of elbow inflammation ended Darvish's season in August, but the right-hander checked out in an MRI and a subsequent examination in Arlington on Tuesday. Currently restricted to a training program, he is expected to start up with his throwing early next month. Although Darvish's WHIP jumped by close to 20 points in 2014, he maintained a strikeout rate above 30 percent (30.1%) while trimming his walk rate to a career-low 8.1 percent.
