Conger will make his third straight start behind the plate Tuesday vs. the Orioles.
Manager Mike Scioscia has employed a relatively even split in usage between Conger and Chris Iannetta this season, but those plans could be changing of late. Though Iannetta owns the better overall numbers of the two catchers on the season, but his .229 average against right-handers might have put Conger in the driver's seat for the larger share of at-bats at catcher. Conger isn't necessarily a righty masher either with a .248 mark on the season, but opportunity means everything in an Angels lineup that ranks as one of the best in the league.
